On the occasion of the Kamakura City Fair Trade Declaration, working with citizens towards a sustainable future

Kamakura Ethical Lab wholeheartedly welcomes the Fair Trade Declaration recently announced by the city of Kamakura.

"100 people's steps can change the world more than 100 steps by one person."

As the words suggest, fair trade is not just about choosing products, but the first step to building a better society and a sustainable future. With Kamakura City aiming to be certified as a Fair Trade Town and each citizen being conscious of ethical consumption, we can all contribute together to "realizing a fairer and more sustainable world."

Kamakura Ethical Lab has been working with citizens' groups, businesses, and the government to promote fair trade. With this declaration from Kamakura City as an opportunity, we would like to further spread the idea of fair trade to the citizens and expand our activities together.
