About the "Kanagawa CO2CO2 Point Plus" Campaig

The "Kanagawa CO2CO2 Point Plus" campaign is an initiative by Kanagawa Prefecture as part of its efforts against global warming. It's a system where consumers contribute to the reduction of CO2e (carbon dioxide equivalent emissions) by choosing environmentally friendly products and services, and are awarded points based on their contribution. The goal is to allow consumers to easily participate in global warming countermeasures through their daily shopping.

Environmental Contribution of "Kamakura Roasted Coffee Fair Trade Kamakura Blend"

The "Kamakura Roasted Coffee Fair Trade Kamakura Blend," which is now part of the campaign, is particularly noteworthy for its efforts to reduce environmental impact.

This product achieves a 58g CO2e reduction in CO2e emissions throughout the entire process, from raw material procurement to disposal, for each package. This was accomplished by reducing emissions from the typical 312g CO2e for a package using standard plastic exterior/individual packaging/drip bags to 254g CO2e by using paper materials for a portion of the packaging, and through environmentally conscious manufacturing processes.

Mitsumoto Coffee Co., Ltd. exclusively uses 100% Fair Trade certified coffee beans carefully selected by coffee appraisers, supporting sustainable coffee production that is mindful of the environment and society.
